This is an older property, but it's pretty well-kept and has an excellent location right in Downtown Ventura, just steps away from the mission. My room had rustic decor, but was clean and quiet. Best of all, they had it ready when I arrived before noon. Overall, it's a nice mid-range place to stay with a perfect location.

Location, staff, and overall aesthetic of this hotel were great, but like other reviews have stated, the inn needs a bit of a remodel. I fell asleep on what felt like a pile of springs and I was woken up to what I thought was someone in our bathroom, but turned out to just be the person in the next room over. The walls were so thin that their shower turning on woke me up. After two nights in my own bed, my back is still sore from my experience here. I hope to return if they update their rooms because I did truly love the space, but in my opinion, the one thing any hotel room needs to be successful is a decent bed, but I've slept on floors more comfortable than the bed at the Clocktower Inn.

Wonderful stay! Very accommodating, and the staff is very inviting. I plan to stay there again anytime I'm in Ventura! Fantastic building and atmosphere, wonderful hot tub in a charming courtyard right outside of my room. The room had a private patio, which was super quaint and cozy. Not everything is pristine, like walls and bathroom tiles, but I personally feel that's part of the charm!

Great stay easy check in Krysten is very helpful and hospitable. The room was clean and house keeping was very attentive. Complimentary breakfast is very convenient. I loved that there was someone always at the front desk ready to help. I enjoyed stay also because the hotel is conveniently located downtown.

The staff was helpful and the location was perfect. Breakfast was good. However, the room itself was tired. The bedside lamp was difficult to operate. The beds uncomfortable. The window curtains were old and difficult to close. The bathroom was small. The bath towels small and scratchy. Basically, a Motel 6 room at a Holiday Inn price.

Lovely hotel with tons of charm and charming staff. Krysten was wonderful and friendly. She gave me some suggestions on great places to eat gluten free. She also provided an extra blanket and brought to my room. Really a quaint and warm experience.

A very cool Santa Barbara styled building with a great lobby and atrium but attention needs to be paid to housekeeping. There was mold (I believe) on the bathroom ceiling and urine stains on the base of the toilet. The bath towels were small and thin with the in room coffee maker equipped for just one cup. The mattress was hard and you couldn’t darken the room from the light coming in from the atrium. What WAS nice was the Mexican restaurant connected to the hotel. They were very good. And listen, the Clocktower Inn isn’t a terrible place. Catch the housekeeping issues and this place is a great location, with an easy walk to the beach and plenty of fun downtown Ventura activities.
